War

I think I'm a pretty good president. Sometimes I think that no matter how good of a president I am, the people will never like me. For example, The Vietnam War. Fine, so I kind of made a conflict with a few neighboring countries. I make one mistake and everybody starts complaining. So what? I recently compromised a ceasefire with North Vietnam. If I didn't do that, America would still be involved in the war!

    Hi, this is James Madison (Zack), and I understand how you feel completely. During the war of 1812, at first I did not want to go to war against Great Britain, but Americans were soon becoming infuriated with me. My only choice was to go to was not only because of Great Britain's aggressiveness, but also because of what my people thought. Also, the ceasefire was a great idea because if it had not happened, then too many people would have died.

    Hi I am President Eisenhower I went to West Point military academy. I think another reason people might not like you would pobably have to do with your little water gate scandle for what you thought was for the good of the nation. What really were you thinking? There is no way to justify it.

    I think that the people were yelling at you for being inconsiderate of the possible risks which opposed you. the Vietnam war was very costly because you didn't think of what might happen if you just sent troops to Vietnam, its like throwing about 100 mice into a cage with ten diamondback rattlesnakes.

    Hello, this is Harry Truman.Wars are always a horrible thing to deal with and you should always try to stay out of them if you can, they don't make you popular. I had to deal with World War 2, and after I dropped 2 nuclear bombs on Japan people started to dislike me. -Vendela

    Hi, this is James Madison, and yea, I think I was a pretty good president too!!! Except for during the war of 1812, that's when I experienced enemy fire from the British and the burning of the White House. I thought I sucked then.

    I was also involved with war. and i too had to creat a cease fire during the korean war.
    i also dont think everyone disliking you was because of war, it might have had to do with your involvment in the water gate scandle.
